Nocturnal Pansies

Working with encaustic, which is wax and pigment and the oldest form of painting, brings me closer to my beloved honeybees. As I work, which depends on a heat source, a hot fusing gun and paint brushes, makes me realize how honeybees with their 6 legs accomplish so much. This medium is also dependent on skill, happy accidents and timing. Pansies are one of my favorite flowers and as I walk around New York, I love to see the many colors blooming.
